Daily Schedule

CARY Base can be set to show the daily schedule to help create awareness of the day ahead. As activities are completed, they are automatically crossed out.

The day plan can easily be hidden in the settings, in which case, events will only appear on the screen as they are due.

Events can easily be created and edited using the "Calendar" button at the bottom of the screen. This button can also be hidden, so that accidental changes can't be made.

Remote Calendar Scheduling

Create, edit and delete calendar items remotely on your phone or your PC using the free My-Abilia Service, included with every Cary Base.

Additionally, administrator accounts can be created so that multiple Cary Base users can be managed from the one support workers My-Abilia account.

Spoken Reminders

Not only will Cary Base speak the time and date, it can also read out the reminders (19 languages supported).

Further, you can also record your own voice so that the reminder comes from a familiar, trusted voice.

You can also add a description with each reminder.  For example:

Reminder Title: Walk the dog"

Reminder Description: "Don't forget dog poop bags"

Both of these messages will be displayed and spoken (if enabled).

Visual Reminders

Cary Base comes preloaded with 118 familiar high quality illustrations to help prompt any given reminder.

However, via the free My-Abilia service, you can also add your own images/photos so that the reminder is specific. 

For example, add a photo of your actual dog (or a specific pill if it's a medicine reminder, or the actual person if it is a carer or relative visiting).

Designed by Abilia for people who need extra help keeping track of the hours of the day, as well as the day’s events. With a fully customisable display, the day’s schedule can be shown on the screen, and spoken reminders can be received at desired times and family members or caregivers can also help keep the calendar up-to-date remotely.

For people who might have difficulty touching the screen to silence alarms there is a switch jack for alternative input. An output jack is also provided for vibrating or light flashing alarms for people with hearing impairments.
