Our focus is simple: Source products that are easy to use, thoughtfully designed & proven to improve daily life.
Why HOMELife Exists!
HOMELife Technology was founded to address a problem we saw repeatedly: too many assistive products are poorly designed, confusing, or unintentionally isolating.
In 2019, while supporting his mother who was living with dementia, co-founder Paul Colley experienced firsthand how well-intentioned technology could increase anxiety rather than reassurance - and add complexity rather than clarity.
That experience became the catalyst for creating HOMELife Technology: a business dedicated to finding assistive technology that feels human, intuitive, and supportive - not clinical or confronting.
About The Founders
Paul Colley is a technology specialist with extensive experience in consumer electronics & accessible product design, including senior roles with global brands such as Sony & Samsung.
Throughout his career, Paul has worked at the intersection of design & usability, developing a deep understanding of what makes technology intuitive & what makes it fail the people it is meant to support
At HOMELife Technology, Paul leads strategic partnerships & product innovation, focusing on identifying the world’s best low-cost assistive technology for seniors, NDIS participants, Support at Home clients & their carers.
Kate Colley is a Registered Nurse, Dementia Care & Palliative Care Specialist, bringing deep clinical insight into ageing, cognitive change & person-centred care.
Kate’s professional background (HammondCare, BaptistCare, St Vincents Care & Community Care) ensures every product HOMELife offers is considered through a clinical & human lens - supporting safety, independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.
Together, Paul & Kate combine lived experience, product & clinical expertise to ensure HOMELife is supplying genuinely helpful products.
What Makes HOMELife Different?
We don't believe in selling “everything”. We believe in careful curation.
The assistive technology market is flooded with low-quality products that are:
- Poorly designed
- Difficult to understand
- Frustrating or unreliable
- Often unsuitable for cognitive or sensory change
We only range products that:
- Are genuinely easy to use
- Reduce confusion rather than add to it
- Support independence and daily routines
- Are a pleasure, not a burden to live with
Every product is selected because it solves a real problem, not because it fills a category.
Whether you are supporting a loved one, prescribing assistive technology, or sourcing solutions for clients - we’re here to help you choose the best assistive technology with confidence.
